Galvanized steel plate is a common material used in manufacturing industry. Galvanized steel plate is coated with a layer of metal zinc on the surface of steel plate in order to prevent corrosion on the surface of steel plate and prolong its service life. It is mainly used in home appliance shell, civil chimney, kitchen utensils, etc. Is this material suitable for laser cutting machine?
Generally, for galvanized sheet, laser cutting machine can easily cut, and most organic and inorganic materials can be used. All kinds of metal materials commonly used in industrial manufacturing system, no matter what hardness it has, almost all can be cut. Copper, aluminum and their alloy plates are all OK.
In the processing of galvanized sheet, auxiliary gas needs to be added. The purity and pressure of auxiliary gas affect the quality of cutting sheet section. The purity of oxygen used for cutting should be more than 99.6%. When the purity of oxygen used for cutting is higher, the roughness and quality of cutting galvanized sheet section are higher. Of course, the cutting cost is also higher. The purity of nitrogen during cutting shall be more than 99.5%. Improving the purity of nitrogen can ensure that the color of cutting seam will not change in the process of cutting galvanized sheet.
