With the continuous development and progress of industrial manufacturing, the application of stainless steel has been very extensive. It is used in household products, electronic appliances, vehicles, building materials, industrial machinery and other fields. Stainless steel is composed of steel with less than 1.2% carbon content and more than 10.5% chromium. It is also known for its resistance to rust and high corrosion resistance.
At present, the processing of stainless steel is mainly based on laser cutting. The laser cutting technology uses a fiber laser beam to act on the surface of the material on a small scale. The high density and high energy of the laser beam locally heats the stainless steel plate and evaporates the area to realize the cutting of the stainless steel.
Stainless steel laser processing has a variety of focusing methods. Commonly used are focusing lens direct focusing and galvanometer plus plan lens. The combination of galvanometer plus plan lens is widely used because of its fast processing speed and wide application range. This focusing method does not require a laser light source, and can be equipped with lasers of various wavelengths and pulse width types. The types of processing materials are mainly thin plates, such as stainless steel plates, carbon steel plates, aluminum alloys and composite metal plates.
For some manufacturers who use stainless steel as the main component, laser cutting stainless steel is currently a relatively fast and efficient processing method. If there are strict requirements on parameters during processing, the good corrosion resistance of such materials can be maintained. The most important process parameters that affect the quality of stainless steel cutting are cutting speed, cutting accuracy, laser power, and air pressure.
However, the laser cutting machine also has some defects when cutting stainless steel:
1. Under the condition of setting various process parameters to ensure good linear cutting effect, excessive ablation when cutting the corner will reduce the quality of the corner; especially for small-angle acute-angle cutting, the laser energy will be caused due to the overlap of the cutting path Concentration leads to excessive ablation at the corners; in order to ensure the overall cutting quality, different parameters must be set for cutting at different positions, and parameter modification is more cumbersome.
2. When various process parameters are set to ensure good cutting effect, the phenomenon of impenetrable cutting often appears at the beginning of the cutting, which will also cause overheating and deformation of the surrounding plates.
